The Course

South Shore Harbour Country Club, is a fantastic 27 hole private course nestled on the banks of Galveston Bay. The course consists of three distinct nines; the South, Shore and Harbour nines each playing to a par 36. This trio allows for three varying 18 hole combinations, with the South-Shore configuration known to be the toughest at 73.0 rating and 128 slope. Once known as a links layout void of trees with plenty of sand and a relatively flat track, the course has evolved into a more traditional course with rolling hills, water hazards and nature’s contribution of a steady wind that beats off the bay.

The Designers
Dave Marr and Jay Riviere
Jeffery Blume

The course was originally designed by Dave Marr and Jay Riviere and was renovated and augmented by Jeffery Blume in the late 1990s.

The Clubhouse

With beautiful views overlooking the course, the South Shore clubhouse offers a variety of amenities. The fully-stocked Pro Shop offers the latest in apparel and equipment, and the club staff is ready to assist you with all of your needs. The Grille offers a variety of items to suite any golfer’s palette and is open from sunrise to sunset Tuesday through Sunday. The clubhouse can be the perfect location to hold private events from a lively reception of 200 to an intimate gathering of 15.
